The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) participated in the 2nd Media Conference on Promoting the Pan-Arab Organizations Achievements and Activities, held from the 24th-26th of March 2019, in Tunisia, under the patronage of His Excellency the Secretary General of the League of Arab States.

 The conference aimed to promote the achievements and activities of the Arab joint action institutions, the roles they play and the services they provide, and to highlight their field of work, objectives, activities and projects as Arab experience houses and contribute to increasing the Arab citizen's awareness on the importance of Arab joint action. Moreover, the conference aimed to find mechanisms to activate the media role and increase the interaction of the Arab media with the activities and programs of the League of Arab States and its organizations and specialized councils and to provide success stories distinguished through the projects and activities carried out by Arab joint action institutions as technical parts of the League of Arab States.

AOAD participated as a specialized Arab organization of the League of Arab States in the fields of agricultural development with a working paper on investing in Smart Agriculture and Food Security in the Arab Region, as well as participating in the accompanying exhibition, which reflected AOAD’s activities during its 47 years of operation.

The conference discussed a series of working papers through six sessions focusing on various topics including education, labor market needs in the Arab region, small and medium enterprises, entrepreneurship, the economy, digital media, and current challenges in the Arab region, smart agriculture, investment and development in the Arab region, the role of the Arab Joint Action institutions in sustainable development goals.
