Under the patronage and presence of HE Mr. Baba Ghanah Ahmado, Country Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and a number of representatives of Arab, international and national organizations in Sudan, Al-Ahfad University for Women honored HE Prof. Ibrahim Adam Ahmed Al-Dekheiry, Director General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development for his great efforts on fields of scientific research and its relation to agricultural development and food security in order to provide the scientific process with reliable scientific information.

This was at the celebration of Ahfad University for Women on Tuesday 17/10/2017, celebrating World Food Day under the slogan "The role of the University of grandchildren invest in food security and rural development to change the future of migration."

The program included a speech by the representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the representative of the President of Al-Ahfad University for Women, and the presentation of a number of scientific and practical papers highlighting the role of the university in food security and rural development.
