The Director General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD), H.E Prof Ibrahim Adam El Dukheri, participated in the Governors of the Islamic Development Bank Group Meeting held in Tunisia on the 4th of April 2018. The participants in the meeting were their Excellencies the Ministers of Finance and the Governors of the Central Banks in 57 Islamic countries, in addition to a number of international and regional organizations Director Generals.

The ceremony was held under the chairmanship of the Tunisian Prime Minister, Mr. Youssef Shahid. The speeches were given by the Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank Group Dr. Bandar Hajjar and by the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The Chairman of the Group presented his vision and work program for the next five years.

On the sidelines of the meeting, H.E Prof El Dukheri held three working meetings, the first of was a tripartite meeting attended by the Director General of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and the Chadian Minister of Economy, Planning and Cooperation. The meeting discussed means of implementation to the Development Support Program in Chad funded by BADEA implemented by AOAD.

 The second meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Othman, the Director General of Operations in the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD).

The meeting discussed the prospects for cooperation between AOAD and the (AFESD) in general, and particularly the Transboundary Animal Diseases Program. The meeting was attended by Mr. Atheno Adialo, the Director of the Agriculture Department in the Islamic Development Bank and his assistant, Dr. Nour Abdi. During the meeting, they discussed the cooperation agreement to be signed between the Islamic Development Bank and AOAD and the preparatory steps for it.
