The Egyptian Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Dr Abd Almunim Al Bana received in his office H.E Prof. Ibrahim El Dukhiri the Director General of AOAD on the 19th of October 2017.

During the meeting, H.E El Dukhiri pointed out that the AOAD is preparing a new action plan reflecting the Arab region situation for the two years 2019 - 2020, to be approved in the next General Assembly meeting. Prof. El Dukhiri also stressed that international, regional and Arab organizations are ready to assist in implementing projects that improve the situation of food security in the Arab region and contribute in achieving sustainable agricultural development.

DR. Al Bana appreciated the role played by the AOAD in Egypt and the joint projects for achieving sustainable agricultural development in the Arab region. Moreover, he expressed his faith in the organization and the efforts of Prof El Dukhiri. He pointed out that the training courses should include modern technologies in agriculture, resource management, rationalization of water uses and modeling of new crop structures to reduce the negative impacts of climate change, to achieve the common objectives of the Arab countries.
