AOAD participates in FAO celebrations

 On

 World Food Day (16 October 2017)

Within the framework of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) efforts to strengthen the cooperation and coordination with regional and international Arab counterparts in various issues of sustainable agricultural development and food security, AOAD regional office in Amman, Jordan, participated in the FAO celebrations on the World Food Day, on the 16th of October 2017. This year theme was "Change the future of migration: Invest in Food Security and Rural Development", in line with the second objective of the sustainable development 2030, on combating hunger, achieving food security, improve nutrition and promote the sustainable agriculture.

 The ceremony was under the auspices of Her Excellency Princess Basma Bint Talal, President of the National Coalition Against Hunger and Malnutrition in Jordan.

Since his appointment as a Director General of the AOAD in April 2017, Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Dukhiri has devoted most of his attention to joint activities with international, regional and Arab institutions, aiming to coordinate with them in order to achieve the objectives supporting Arab efforts to achieve sustainable agricultural development and food security in the Arab Region.
