The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) held the 3rd meeting with the Arab Group participating in the 14th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity on Monday the 19th of November 2018, in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, with the participation of the Secretariat of the League of Arab States.

 AOAD presented its views on the networks it has established in areas related to biodiversity, namely the Arab Plant Genetic Resources Network, the Arab Network for Animal Genetic Resources, the Arab Rangelands Network and the Arab Network for Aquaculture.

The interventions were around genetic modification and the importance of involving the civil society in the activities carried out by the competent bodies in the joint Arab action. Moreover, the working team exchanged views on the negotiations progress.
