The Members of the Arab Agricultural Engineers General Conference Union visited the premises of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) in Khartoum on the 25th of June 2018. The visit came in the framework of cooperation between the AOAD and the Union of Arab Agricultural Engineers.

The visiting group included; the head and members of the Arab Agricultural Engineers General Conference Union and the Executive Office that participated in the 8th Arab Association of Agricultural Economic and Social Sciences, which was held in Khartoum between 23-24 / 06/2018.

 AOAD Director General Assistant Dr. Ahmed Abdul Wali AL Samawi and staff welcomed the visitors who were headed by the President of the Arab Agricultural Engineers Union and former Director General of AOAD, H.E Dr. Yahya Bakkor. A presentation was presented to the guests around the goals and achievements of AOAD during the period of its establishment in 1972 up-to-date. That period has witnessed many achievements in the field of national and regional studies and projects, joint projects in the field of human capacity building and technical support for all Arab countries.

The President of the Arab Agricultural Engineers Union H.E Dr. Yahya Bakkor addressed the meeting on his experience at AOAD when he was the Director General during the period 1993-2001, which was one of the most beautiful stages of his work in Sudan with a group of Arab experts. He wished AOAD progress and prosperity in headed by H.E Prof. Ibrahim El Dukhiri and his assistants, experts and technicians. He also appreciated the activities carried out by AOAD in its field of work to achieve sustainable agricultural development in the Arab region.
