On the 19th of October 2017, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the AOAD and the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid zones and Dry lands (ACSAD) in the framework of cooperation between Arab Organizations.

This came on the sidelines of the participation of H.E Prof. Ibrahim El Dukhiri DG of AOAD in the meetings of the 29th session of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for Environment Affairs, in the presence of the Assistant Secretary General, Head of the Economic Affairs Sector, Ambassador Dr. Kamal Hassan Ali, and Dr. Jamal Jaballah, Head of the environment and water resources Department .

 H.E Prof. El-Dukhiri stated that the agreement comes within the framework of cooperation between the AOAD and ACSAD in all fields related to their work, especially with regard to the joint implementation of projects and benefiting from research results in the fields of agriculture and food security, exchange of information and statistics in these areas and coordination in regional and international meetings and conferences .
