The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) in cooperation with the Agricultural Genetic Engineering Research Institute (AGRI), Cairo, Egypt, conducted a national training course in the field of Molecular Markers and their Applications during the period 24th -28th December 2017.

The course aimed in raising the participants' abilities by introducing them to molecular markers and to the related basic concepts and their uses in improving agricultural crops. The program provided the trainees with practical training in the DNA extraction from different tissues and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). As well as various molecular markers (RAPD, SSR, AFLP), and their Genetic mapping and breeding programs.
