The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) organized on April 24, 2019, a workshop on the verification of the draft study prepared by AOAD on strengthening agricultural research, technology and innovation in Africa and the Arab region, which contributes to the document of the Ministerial Conference of Arab and African Ministers of Agriculture, which will be held during 2019, in the framework of the Joint Arab-African Plan for Food Security and Development of Agricultural Sectors. The workshop was attended by a group of scientists and researchers from research institutions in Sudan from the Agricultural Research Authority, the Livestock Research Authority, the National Research Center and University of Khartoum and Arab Bank for Development in Africa.

The Director General of AOAD, H.E Prof Ibrahim Adam El Dukheri, confirmed the success of AOAD partnerships with international and regional academic institutions. He pointed out that the result of most of these partnerships were joint projects and programs with the United Nations institutions and civil society organizations.
